A few articles back, I told you I was looking to go overseas to gain more experience in Personal Training and Group Instruction. I had been offered a couple of posts, one in the Middle East.
It was actually in Qatar in the United Arab Emirates, but was a two year contract and I declined the offer. I would prefer a post on the luxury cruise ships, for 3 months at a time. You see I am pretty settled here and have a steady girlfriend. I figure I can juggle my life to gain experience, make money, keep the girlfriend and not have to sell up my truck and other possessions.
I have already resigned from my job as a mobile engineering technician and I’m now working fulltime in two local gyms. I have an interview scheduled for Monday 4th August in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban.
Hopefully I come right and get onto the ships by early September. What this means, is I won’t be able o keep this log running on a daily basis. I will email articles and news about my experiences at sea to my parents, who will post them here for you. I doubt I will be able to maintain an article every day, so we will cut back to about 3 a week.
My Mom will keep this blog running for me and for you, but starting this week, she will only post an article every second day or so. Sorry about that, but once I return, I will get things back to normal.
