Due to a lot of interest in Bonsai gardening, I have prepared a 3 part article on the subject. Yesterday, we covered the basics and looked at the Juniper as an option. Today we continue, where we left off and look at the Japanese Maple as another option.
Wow! I did an article on Bonsai, the other day and never imagined I would get so much positive response. Dozens of readers wrote in, asking for more information on the subject of Bonsai gardening. I suppose it is the time of year in the northern hemisphere, when avid gardeners are kept from their gardens and also the many people living in close confines and unable to have gardens. They are obviously looking at some form of indoors gardening and Bonsai is certainly a great option. I have had to split this article into 3 parts, so be sure to look out for the next ones.
It is summer in the southern hemisphere now, and gardeners are busy, but our neighbours in the northern hemisphere, are going into their winter months. Many are unable to do any gardening as they experience snowfalls and freezing weather. Some are able to tend indoor gardens, but for most it is a frustrating time. Other hobbies are able to pass the time, but what can be done, that is still closely related to nature and the outdoors? Why not start a rock collection?
Yes, I am a keen gardener and yes, I am a writer of daily articles on gardening topics, but I am also a normal person and a lady, so why not find time for lady things, every so often? I know that many of you, in the northern hemisphere, have been chased from your gardens, by the approaching cold winter weather and now have time to pamper yourselves, a little. This article is for all those of you, who feel tired, and miserable. Put the smile back on your faces and keep young at heart!
It is not often that I try something new. It is also not often that I rave about a book, but recently I came across this book and as I had always been curious about the art of Bonsai, I gave it a try. In this book, a Bonsai expert exposes time-tested, secret methods, used to grow shockingly beautiful Bonsai. Whether you’re a novice, or an experienced Bonsai gardener, you must get your hands on this indispensable resource, so you can grow amazingly beautiful Bonsais too.
There is always time for a smile and even busy marketers and productive gardeners need to take time to smile. Derek used this article last week on his blog and I thought it so funny, that I just had to share it with you. This was written by Rose (no surname) and goes like this. “I received a letter from my grandmother, last week. She is 83 years old and still drives her own car. She wrote:”
Lawns are among the most important features, of any home, in terms of aesthetic value, as they are the frontline of the home’s façade. The first thing you see when you go to any house is the lawn. Lawn care is thus most important. However, conventional lawn care, involves processes, that may be harmful to the environment, such as the use of pesticides and other chemicals, that can hurt the earth. If you want to take care of your lawn, without hurting Mother Nature, you can make use of natural lawn care.
And now for something completely different! At this time of year, many gardeners are deprived of their hobby, due to the winter weather. Although there are many types of garden that can still be grown indoors, it somehow, just is not the same. As a completely different idea, and one that can involve the kids, why not start an indoors rock garden? This is a novel way of creating an attractive indoors feature.
