Having your own garden is always blissful, as you watch the fruits of your labour come to fruition, either as a herb to be used in food, or as a flower to enhance the appearance of the surrounds. What is aeroponics? An aeroponics indoor garden does not require the use of pesticides, or herbicides and that makes the herbs, or vegetables grown this way, healthier for you and the environment as well. An aeroponics indoor garden uses much less water, than the plants grown in natural soil. On average, 95% less, which can make a huge difference to the environment, in turn, besides the fact that you are not polluting the soil, with pesticides and other chemicals, that need to be used outdoors.

Getting Started

You should be able to find aeroponics gardening kits, that contain everything you need to get started, even if you are a beginner. Ensure that you place the garden somewhere close to a window, where it gets enough daylight, so that you can save on power and not have to use artificial lighting. While most things in an aeroponics garden are automatic and don’t have to be monitored, you may want to make sure that the pH of the soil is between 5 and 6 and that the temperature of the room, where they are grown, is maintained at between 70 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

You can place your aeroponics garden on top of a table in the kitchen, or you can create a special space for them, in any room of your house, including the basement, but just ensure that you have a humidifier installed, as temperatures that are too hot and dry may affect the growth of the plants.
