Wow! Time flies. I have been busy, the last few weeks, with running up and down to Durban to visit my father in law, who has been ill and in and out of hospital for nearly 3 months. With this, we have stayed over with Sally’s Mom a few times, to help her with various issues. He passed away, on Monday 4th February. Add to this the fact that we have a house, on a farm outside Pietermaritzburg and have pets, so can’t be away from home for too long and add the constant Eskom power outages and the fact that I’m running a full time Internet business and you will see that time is something that I haven’t had too much of lately.

The importance of articles, in today’s websites and Internet based companies, are immeasurable. They dictate a lot, in the success and the drive of traffic, to one’s site. So, what is article marketing? Put simply, article marketing is the writing of free articles, with an author bio box at the end, that points back to your website, or product. You can submit these articles to article directories across the internet, and from there, they can be used by other people, for content on their websites, with the condition that your author bio box remains intact.
Even if your best friend owns a top publishing company, giving you an immediate “in,” this does not guarantee publishing success. First, you have to write a quality book, that has a clear target audience. And your book must answer a common problem, or need that audience shares. Then you have to develop a marketing plan, and stick to it, for at least two years.
There are innumerable ways to use e-books, to promote your business and drive quality traffic to your website. Once posted on your site, you can turn them into a daily course, which brings your customer back, to read the next chapter.
